New Music Friday (10/16): Deerhunter, BØRNS, !!!, Omi

After a two year hiatus, Deerhunter returns with new album Fading Frontier. Produced by Ben Allen, the album has received a rare five star review from NME, in addition to glowing reviews from Spin, Pitchfork, and The Guardian, among many others.

BØRNS’ debut album Dopamine arrived this week. John Hill produced and co-wrote the title track.

Dance-punk favorites !!! return with their first album since 2013, As If. Longtime Jim Eno co-produced several songs on the album which was mixed by Chris Coady.

Unexpected summer king Omi follows the success of his ubiquitous hit “Cheerleader,” co-written by Sly Dunbar, with his debut album Me 4 U. Daniel Ledinsky co-wrote and co-produced “Midnight Serenade”; Kid Harpoon co-wrote and co-produced “Babylon.”

To round out the week, Forbes ran a conversation with Dave Tozer highlighting the producer’s rise and versatility.
